Overview
HCS Association Framework
- An initially unincorporated association, led by an executive board of elected volunteer family members, including a president, vice president, treasurer, secretary, historian, webmaster, voted into office every 2 years at the national family reunion
- The association will create and maintain a central website which serves as a platform for communication, creation of a comprehensive family directory and family tree, detailed record of our family history, current and historical photo/video board, financial portal, with the option to expand to other family services (commerce, social event planning, etc.)
- The association will open and maintain a central bank account and assure responsible and transparent accounting to its members
- The association will stay in communication with each reunion committee and be able to provide financial and organizational support as needed.

Membership Dues
- The membership dues are $8/month or $85/year (saves 10%) for families living in the same household.
Long-term Goals
- To become financially viable
- To complete incorporation and achieve tax-exempt status – 501(c)3 or 501(c)7
- To create a self-sustaining leadership structure that transfers and expands through younger generations
- To create and subsidize regional family sub-committees and facilitate regional bonding and networking
- To support a platform for merchandising, fundraising and possibly financial investment
Next Step
- Initial recruitment of paying members and prospective leaders
- Election of the inaugural executive board at the 2023 family reunion in Charlotte
- Foundation for a new comprehensive family website, to include family history, family directory, family tree, communication portals and financial portal with security features
- Creation of financial framework, to include bank account and accounting structure
